Portchester Pneumatic Tool Co. Inc.
East Portchester Conn.
I would like more information about this item please, as in age of item, what it was for & if it is an ventage or antique. If someone could help it would be nice to know.
I just think it is a cool looking old valve lathe lash seating tool!
This is a tool for refacing auto valves. There is a Ford Model A valve in it now. It won't set the lash. It isn't a very good way to do that task.
Thank you slackjack.
i know it is older than me. LOL
I believe it dates back to the 1900's from what little bit i could find in researching it.
My husband and i recently used it as a conversation piece to the past in automotive conversation. Got very curiouse about it.
I wouldn't want to have to use it today. LOL
Thanks again for the information.
I think you have a tool made in Canada. Try researching the company patents.
It has a PAT PEND on it so i don't think it is a Patent # fhrjr2
Thank you for that onformation though.
The Pat Pending means they applied for one, therefore there must be a record of it.
The company is listed in American Machinist as being organized in July 1920.
