    Got 5 chairs like this from a yard sale. They appear to have their original finish with a painted yellow line like pin stripping. They are very short and not at all comfortable. I know a lot of chair styles but can only come up with "thumb back" as a possible ID. Seats are an odd pattern woven in cane I think. Any help in a proper ID and period to solve my mystery would be very much appreciated.
