It says made In Hong Kong, and does not have any stickers on the roof. Could anyone point me in the right direction on finding out if this is the real deal. Thanks!

Looks the real deal to me.
The wear, the date and the wheel type match our expectations.

All I know is that I had one!

Was it the same as the one I have?

Cool car but not one of the Sweet 16 released in 1968. If it is one of the first 10 Red Baron cars made I have no clue.

The paint is the enamel version and it doesn't have red line tires. I am pretty sure it is a later 1970s version.

I knew it didn't have the redline tires, but according to the article, only 10 were made

In comparing yours to the first photo: yours doesn't have the taller tip on top of the helmet; the front/sides of the helmet don't appear to be as a flared; but the biggest difference are the rear fenders - yours are much more wrap-around whereas the rare one has short rear fenders that resemble those on a VW dune buggy.

I remember the 1/24th scale Monogram plastic model kit of this car, and then the full-size car that was built of the model!
