Job Lot Purchase Two
The ebay listing for the three vases had only one image.....that of a nice brown table and almost incidentally the three vases. I assumed that this too was Kralik but now I'm not sure. It has a slight golden iridescence and a highly polished rim. It's not a regular martélé as here and there you find much bigger spaces between the ridges. Again there's not a nick or scratch on it!
Height 14 cm./5.5 inches
Personally I do not believe that this open spaced version of Martelé is actually a Kralik decor. This is one of a couple of examples I can recall seeing in more common colors of glass, although I have to say I do not really recognize the shape off hand.
This style of the "Martelé" is seen in a kind of violet colored iridescent glass. Inky's post in the following link shows that color quite well. It seems unlikely to me that Kralik and Rindskopf, who we know both made a more conventional Martelé decor, would have made a larger spaced variant of that decor, and produce it in a color which neither are really recognized for using. That color is the one in Inky's link. It is also seen in a cranberry pink as in this link from Ian.

I am of the opinion that yours, and the other two are by the same company, and I do not believe that company to be Kralik or Rindskopf.... at least at this point I don't..... not sure who though....
Thank you, welzebub, I'm quite pleased to have you doubt Kralik as I doubted too. Sitting here comparing mine to inky's they are very similar. Ian's less so but I think the twisted shape of his vase makes comparison more difficult, for me anyway.
stunning!!!!!
