      These are simply wonderful, milk glass beautifully painted and the ruffled tops, love this combination.

      Generically claimed to be Bristol Glass on many secondary market selling sites like ebay etc., but they are actually Czechoslovakian imports from the turn of the 19th century, into the early 20th century.

      Genuine Bristol glass was made 100 years earlier at the turn od the 18th century, into the early 19th century and is of much higher quality than these, with ground and polished pontil scars. Here are a few examples of genuine Bristol glass I happen to have on hand. I have none of the translucent opal glass images with me at this time, but this should still give you a general idea of what true Bristol glass looks like and see the huge quality difference too.
