For Jewel...
I have another one, just do not know where it is a the moment....LOL. Small Souvenir or toys but most people did not play with them. They also made just canoes too. The one tee pee has writing on the bottom which is interesting - as that is one of the Residential School under question for Abuse towards Natives. It was only opened as a School for about 4 years or so. So not sure it this is something that was made there, or was a piece of school decor from there.
anyway...there you go
Oh I love them rose!
This is a neat post that brings back memories. Back in the 1950's we made such items from kits to earn merit badges in the boy scouts. I didn't at all enjoy doing it...nobody told me about thimbles!
These are fab!!!!!!
fhrjr has a point...scuze the pun! I had a whole kit that were for moccasins from the 60's boy scouts. They may have had a contest between schools to see which one won. Interesting notation on the abuse!
Back in my day we used a wood burning pen to sign them. Looking at whether this is burned or done with a pen/sharpie may help date it.
These are truly amazing!!
