My Dad just passed away in November and I have his business sign that he had for his auto supply. I've been offered $200.00 for it and just wondered if anyone can tell me what it's worth. ? I'm thinking $200.00 is too low... but not sure if I'm thinking this because it so hard to part with... because it was my Dad's. It's 6 foot by 4 foot... so kinda big for me to just keep. this is the info on it. any help with finding info on this would be greatly apprecitated!
This has got to be the HOLY GRAIL for the Champion Spark Plug collector. OR the Sign collector
a RARE Two sided CHAMPION SPARK PLUG outdoor retail/warehouse sign.
This sign is quite large and in excellent condition for its age.
This sign is 6 ft. X 4 ft.

It is dated 11-73.

An AWESOME SIGN !!!
Great for the Champion or sign collector
I love the sign, would love to have it, if I had the space for it. That is the problem, is it size. Large signs have limited market because collectors have a hard time finding space to display. But with a little patience eventually right person will come along and may pay your asking price.
Thanks StihlCollector! do you think it's worth more than $200.00? I was thinking it should be at least $300.00... but then I was told to ask $600.00... and then... my son said it wasn't worth anything... I'm guessing.... any idea?
It is definetly worth something, lot of automotive, sign, advertising collectors out there. I think 200-250.00 range is a fair price, but as you know really it is only worth what someone is willing to pay. As I said the biggest problem is the size of sign. Yes a lighted sign that size would be very expensive when originally purchased new, but it is not very likely going be purchased by dealer, it will be going to a collector. Hope this helps.
