Here is the secon set of studio portraits with art-Nouveau decoration. There are others in my collection, so I guess there will be a third series... or even a fourth one.

On pic 1. ypu can see two different from the same person taken in the first shot. As you know i love it when I find pics of the same person and tghese came together so I couldn't help it: they had to be mine! I guess the girl didn't know which one she prefered and copies made of the two pictures.

On pics. 2 and 3, you can see two really elegant ladies. Pic. 3 hasn't got the vertical format i like so much but look at that dress... wouldn't you ladies have liked to live in that period just to wear something like it? and then, the photography is so balances i didn't mind about the format.

Pic.4 hasn't got any piece of furniture on it, but you can see the decorative pattern on the background walls and it is so in the style of Josef Maria Olbrich I think it's got its right to be part of this series.

Austro, these are all beautiful! And funny, before I read your post I was admiring the dresses. Personally, I'll take #2 dress...I love that detail on the bottom. I was wondering if they were made of linen...

I'm curious as to the necklace, it looks to me like it's hanging from her belt, but then it seems there is a long chain around her neck... Can you describe that to me. I find it quite interesting.

      Lovely photos, all of them.

ooops! I posted this just before leaving on a two weeks journey and I'm afraid I totally forgot about it :/ So thank you all for your loves on these pics!!!!

SHARe... it eally looks like it falls from the belt... well, looking at the neck are on the dress it's far too complicated for such a simple necklace to be important... will have t take a closer look at the original (now, as almost everything else, in storage :( )

SHARE, I have just seen portraits from the same time where ladies seem to have their long chains / necklaces around their belt in one side... I wish i could explain it better: the necklaces are hanging from their necks BUT on one side they're around the belts. I guess that's so because this way they prevented them from "going too far" off their waists. I think that is the same way the lady on pic. is wearing hers.
