THANKS KIVATINITZ & SEAN68 FOR YOUR LOVES ;-]
Maybe it's an Australian thing. I had seen milk savers before here at my grandmother's when I was a kid. The spiral shape triggered that memory and it was reinforced by the Cow motif. That Wembley ware article came from a search about what they were called ..... I really had forgotten.
Thanks sean for your cool comments :-) sd
Thanks vetraio50 , i wonder how they were used !!
Like i said ive never seen or heard of them & if from aus it came a long way round the world ;-)
You're most welcome SD !!!!!!!
You would be heating up milk on a stove for chocolate or coffee - this would be placed in the bottom of a saucepan. It prevented the milk from 'booing over'!
Memory lapse!
Early onset ....... Oops!
'boiling over' - Oops!
There are similar objects made in metal and glass as well.
But who heats milk these days?
Thanks vetraio50 for ur memory lapse :-) lol
We actually still heat milk on the stove !!
