Dimensions: 12"L x 10.5"H x 6"D. Bought this clock as a project off eBay. $118 to me was a good price for the open escapement. I know these are highly desireable for collectors and I can see why. I rebuilt the movement and I have had it running for a couple of weeks now and just love this clock. The problem is I don't know the model. I was wondering if a clock professional might be able to help? Thank you.
Congratulations on your purchase. You have an Ansonia "Servia" from circa 1886.
Here's one which sold at auction for $65 at auction but it was in pretty poor condition: http://p2.la-img.com/289/29536/11486180_1_x.jpg I think you got a pretty decent deal. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! It is always nice knowing the model of the clock and year. It's been brought up in conversation and I did not know much about it besides the 1882 stamped on the movement. Mystery solved!
You're very welcome Dschmid. We can't always identify models and it's nice when we can. Glad we could help. Unless you have other questions, please do indicate that your mystery has been solved in your listing. Thanks again for sharing your very nice "Servia" example
