Fresh off the plane from France this beauty is my first Formosa .
I have seen the same form and design as this credited to Harrach .The consensus was that this was made by Riedel BUT have just discovered the exact shape in an original Harrach factory photo on page 31o of the Big Harrach book .
Non aventurine glass .
4 1/2 " High x 5 1/2 " Diameter
Quality quality quality .
This was not a cheapie as I made the vendor an offer he could not refuse ...
Circa 1900 ...
I' ll put more photos in another listing .
wow very beautiful!!!
Great piece, Marty - has it all... thanks for bringing it out of the shadows :)
Gorgeous, Marty! I have a collection of Riedel vases, and the bows and swags of tiny leaves is a motif used on many of them (and done in the same enameling style as yours) - I personally would go with Riedel on this one.
...the square base and feet also point more to Riedel, in my opinion. :)
Hi CindB and Sean thanks for your appreciation ...
