Picked these two ads up for $5 in antique shop today. I removed from ratty frames. Appear to be out of a magazine...the back sides have ads for Pan American flights to South America and a company I've never heard of called Union Carbide. One shows copyright of 1956 and the slogans make sense for that year. Water damage on one and a few minor scuffs on the other. They appear to be cut out with scissors. Probably not worth much more than I paid but they'll look cool in the collection. I like the narrative in one of the ads referencing the early ad days that still touts that "delightful little lift"...(uhhh huh!). I'm also left wondering if that group of four has any rum in their Coke? Thanks for looking!
If the ad measures 7" by 10" - it is from the back cover of an October 1956 National Geographic magazine.
Above is for the first ad you show - the second I do not have in my collection but if the measurements are the same it is from a different month.
they're 7X10. Coke...they were everywhere
