The moment i saw i adored also because i knew where it came from; Bresse in French. This vermeil locket although I can find no mark. The material is gold colored and so beautifully made that it must have almost vermeil. As seen in the last image there is a picture of a little child (boy?) dressed in 19th century clothing additionally created by photographi Bertall who was working in Paris in the 19th century. The locket is fine and dense.Both the front and the back is really beautiful. It's just a real shame that the front enamel Bressant somewhat damaged. The figures and filligree patterns and enamel is so outstanding this almost invisible.
The dimensions are 7 x 4 cm. Again made a jewel with lots of patience and a lot of skill both qualities i very admire. I hope you too!
