I have not mastered the art of patience apparently, because I can't wait to put this as a Saturday Stumper!
So, my grandmother gave this to me in the early 80's before she passed. It was tarnished then as it is now. I don't think I've ever tried to make this shine, which is unusual for me...I have simply never been able to figure out what the heck it is!
A scarf pin? I think the pin is to thick.
Does it act as a brooch and have something hanging from it? Nah! that's not a loop to hold a pendant, it would fall off and that sticks out too far to be either...
It does not bend easily at all, like it was made from an actual hanger when they were hard to bend, not like today's hangers.
Any ideas???
Thanks...I really, really wanna know! ;)
Necktie hanger??
I'm certainly not counting that out!
How would it fit tho? Upside down with that hook like thing in the middle of the knot? What I think is upside down more than likely is rightside up! lol
Thank you ron and agh!
OHHH!!! A necktie HANGER! lol
I thought you said something like a collar pin, ugh!
A necktie hanger, agh You are one funny guy...How's that gonna hang in the closet??? lol!!! You got me good! Especially cuz everytime I doubt you...oh you are a good one!
on a good one.
Maybe just a funny little clever pin/brooch? It is adorable!
OMG! That is sooo funny! Thanks CindB, good lookin out! I would have never found those...
Thanks Jewels, Phil, & jscott!
A very cute small one, love it!
Hey Virginia, thanks...maybe we can hang your little tin guy from it! lol That's what he reminds me of, the Tin Man in the wizard of oz!!! It's the Tin Man's son! lol
Ohhh nice idea!!! Yes, I love the Tin Man in the movie and is true, this little guy looks similar, mmmm, maybe a hidden son, lol :)
Thank you for the loves racer and sean...I think I'll gather some watch parts, hang them and call it steampunk...that ought to get it out the door quickly too, right?!
Funny!
My idea would be to hold a pinch-nose (with a silk cord or light chain) on your robe or vest when not wearing. This is just a thought ;-)
