I have not mastered the art of patience apparently, because I can't wait to put this as a Saturday Stumper!

So, my grandmother gave this to me in the early 80's before she passed. It was tarnished then as it is now. I don't think I've ever tried to make this shine, which is unusual for me...I have simply never been able to figure out what the heck it is!

A scarf pin? I think the pin is to thick.
Does it act as a brooch and have something hanging from it? Nah! that's not a loop to hold a pendant, it would fall off and that sticks out too far to be either...

It does not bend easily at all, like it was made from an actual hanger when they were hard to bend, not like today's hangers.

    Any ideas???

Thanks...I really, really wanna know! ;)

    2. shareurpassion shareurpassion, 10 years ago
I'm certainly not counting that out!

How would it fit tho? Upside down with that hook like thing in the middle of the knot? What I think is upside down more than likely is rightside up! lol

      Funny!
My idea would be to hold a pinch-nose (with a silk cord or light chain) on your robe or vest when not wearing. This is just a thought ;-)
