These were the days when pottery had great lines, simple details on many, but has lasted the test of time. This is one of those timeless examples...
Old Vintage Incised Mark has an ER on the rim of the base. (pic 4) This stands for Experimental Rhead, for Designer Frederick Rhead in the Mid 30's....
stunning vase !!!
ER = Experimental Rhead -- the Fiestaware designer was Frederick Rhead and he also designed the very first "fiestaware" logo (May 14th, 1935) - it appears to be the original "light green" color
Thank you again Agh..........
Thx Sean, Rose.....
Your vase is definitely vintage made between 1935 and 1946 - in the green, it is currently valued at $150 but you may add a premium for the ER designation which would denote it as very early production.
Love that color!!!
Thx Agh........Much appreciated......
Thx Katherine...I love the color green too $$.......: )
I love the design of these too. I have one of this as well. Unfortunately mine is a reissue. I think from the 80's. Didn't notice the variation of the mark. That was before I knew better :)
