I don't really know anything about this clock except it was my fathers. it seems to be made of brass and is fairly heavy. I tried to find one online to see how old it might be but could not.

stunning!!! and welcome to cw!!! someone in the clock area will be able to help ya!!
I tried searching seth Thomas with various dates. Try a few various sites and search engines and you should find a match eventually. Looks 1920s or earlier.
Your father's clock is a model called the "Duke" from circa 1909. It's described as an 8-day hour and half-hour strike, 4 1/2" porcelain dial. It came in "Bronze" or "Verde" finishes with five gold-plated top ornaments. Height, 13 inches. Originally listed for $18.00 which would be the equivalent of about $470 in 2015.

Thanks for sharing your heirloom with us.
Thank You so much for helping find out the name of the clock. I am not sure why mine has a black coating, i think the brass looks beautiful and might try and find a clock restorer to see what they think to remove the paint over the brass or if it was built this way.
