This is anothe piece I`d like to share. When I first saw it, I was sure it was Loetz carneol.Later, when my emotions came down,I noticed that colours are less intensive, the inner layer is pink and it`s got something like yellow shadows on the bottom. However, the ornament around the rim is similar to Loetz.
I also considered Harrachov as a maker.Any ideas?
beautiful piece of Loetz... http://loetz.com/decors-a-z/hellmarmor
I probably jumped the gun, might be Harrach too :D
I think the pinkishness makes me think closer to Harrach ???
though the pattern and carneol can be pikish seem to point to Loetz >>
Confused ?? I am too ....
Thank you MacArt and Ozmarty _you confirmed my thoughts.
Anyway, whatever it is - it`s a kind of beauty to me
Just beautiful!
Thanks for the loves!
very beautiful!!!

Another Lovely piece ... Decoration is very Loetz ...
Somewhere (think it is Cantz) there is mention in a commentary from one of the early exhibitions of a "Horn" decor with a isolated red stripes ... the coloration in this piece is what I associate with that description ... although have seen no other documentation ...
Enjoy
Hi Steve, thanks for your interesting comment. This is the point - no documentation on the item, and no documentation in my country at all.I just get info from the net and CW about Loetz
the enamelling is outstanding
Hi Ivonne.
I am looking to buy a piece very similar to this and I was wondering the same thing - about whether it could be Loetz. If you look at Dr Kai's article here: http://www.loetz.com/identifying-loetz-glass/early-loetz
See image 8.01 and read the text alongside:
".....Loetz matte opaque opal vase with coralene ornamentation round the neck, in a style frequently used in Loetz 'Onyx' 1888 and later on other marbled glass."
I would say on that basis that it is probably Loetz.
Thank you philmac for the link.Very educational article. It's difficult to state definitely about ID but I also think it's rather by Loetz
Just got it on the best authority that this is indeed Loetz.
Look out for a post from me in a week or so Ivonne, when I'll post the exact same decor on a rather unusual piece.
Thanks,philmac,I will :)
just super to get definitive identification beautiful piece of Loetz then congratulations !!!!!!!! Ivonne
