Georgian carved wax silhouette portrait of Reynold's Lady. I understand that the subject posed for a Joshua Reynold's portrait. Does anyone have any idea regarding the portrait? I love how life-like the wax looks and I find it amazing that this has lasted all of these years.

Amazing that it has survived this long. Must have been well protected from dust as you can't get that off of wax without destroying it.

Incredible find! I barely saw 4 wax subjects in a lifetime haunting antique mails and flea markets in France!
