HI THESE ARE PART OF MY COLLECTION VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE EARRINGS
THEY ARE UNIQUE BUT DATING THEM IS A BIT BAFFLING THEY ARE AMETHYST INTALGIO IN DESIGN. I THINK
ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED
THANKS ANNMAC 'TILL THE NEX TIME HAPPY COLLECTIONG
Beautiful! Are you sure they are carved amethyst & not glass? If they are glass, look really well for a signature (RL or some other variant of Lalique). Molded glass also came from "Bohemia" around the turn of the century. The carved amethyst seems to have been most popular mid-Victorian 1860-80. What do the backs look like? Any marks? I'd clean that bit of verdigras off the front, to make sure it doesn't corrode the metal.
Hi annmac! I love the earrings. Could they be Art Deco or Nouveau (sp)? The lower part looks the latter and the upper part looks Deco. Either way, I'm guessing that would put them from about 1905 to about 1920 or so. Like I said, I'm guessing-I would love to see more info on these too. Thanks for sharing ann.
Thank you so much for your feedback a great help in my quest to find eras for these gems. Thanks again annmac.
