    Another recent purchase this jug is from the extinct company Fratelli Fanciullacci Italy.

    Absolutely over the top in shape, glaze, graphic....everything really....but isn't it just fantastic!

    This winged horsey creature (Pegasus?) pops up on a few FF designs from the 50s and I think he is delightful. Put him with textured glazes, gold, stripes, dots; he is beautifully camp! Then there is the shape - the handle and spout are mad, the body has been placed crookedly on the pedestal, it would be useless holding liquid....but for me it is magic.

    I dare you not to look and smile!!

    Height 20cm on a lean.
