Turner tools were made in Australia until around 1970 when taken over by Stanley Titan.
The very rare Turner 220 block plane was a clone of the Stanley 220, with a ruby cellulose acetate front knob instead of the turned beech knob that Stanley used.
Very rare, apparently because Turner didn't make too many of this model due to it not offering anything over the Australian Stanleys of its time.
I picked this little beauty up at a garage sale four years ago and use it with pleasure!
