Candleholders

My mom collected these when I was younger - buying them at various flea markets and antique shops in OH and WV. They appear to be pot metal with a veneered wood middle. I have all shapes and sizes and colors. But, I have no clue as to the period of time they were made or who made them. No markings on any. The screw goes from the cup down to the bottom and the piece is held together with a square nut (this in all of them).
