Yes, I lost another earring! I have more “divorced” earrings than pairs! I was so frustrated because I lost one more last week so I went out and bought the biggest ones my ears would tolerate. My hope is that when one of these ones falls or gets stuck in a scarf, I will notice!
Thanks for looking:)
There a lovely pair. I have to say I'm the same I have a draw of odd earrings, its saw annoying when you loose one, it's better to loose both. Anyway I hope you manage to keep these safe. They look Art Nouveau, I like the filigree at the bottom, what is the colour of the stone?
Beautiful earrings!
I have rarely lost small earrings, but the big giant earrings, when I used to wear them, I'd constantly lose one of the pair. Two especially I was heartbroken over, and still keep the singletons. :(
There is a simple fix for that freiheit, just put either the silver backs from a pair of your studs, you can also put the little plastic, rubbery ones from the cheapies there or, if worst comes to worst, take some of the eraser from a pencil and push it thru. I always add one or the other if I even think I will loose an earring. So far, I haven't lost one yet!
P.S. Make sure to test each before you put them on. Sometimes the backs may not fit...just keep trying and don't force them on or you will bend the hoop.
Thanks so much for your comments and tips, shareurpassion and katherinescollections. I a way, it is nice to know that I am not the only one facing the problem of lost earrings. I will try to do what shareurpassion said and check next time before I put any earrings on and also put some rubber on the end. Just before Christmas, I lost one of a pearl earring my husband gave me for Christmas 30 years ago. The earrings were not valuable but to me the meant a lot because at that time we didn't have almost anything.
The earring I lost last week didn't mean anything to me but I still didn't like it:(
The earrings I posted are nothing special at all. They could be recent “tribal” ones. There are no markings and the “stone” might be glass. Like I said, I got them as a protest: They are too big to get lost; at least this is the plan LOL
Love this!
Thank you Val for cleaning that up for me! You did good ;)
Funny thing was, yesterday I went to put on a pair that needed the added backs and I could not fine one, even tho I know a bunch of them were right in front of my face! All I could do is think, how is freiheit going to understand what I'm talking about and "now watch me loose one!!!" I chose a different pair!
Make necklaces out of your singletons katherine! It's not hard once you know how!!!
Thanks so much, shareurpassion and Val for your comments and suggestions. I think that part of my problem is that I lost some of the backings and then used whatever I had - but sometimes they backings didn't fit tight enough! So, it is my own entire fault when one of my earrings gets lost. Live and learn! I will look for those little plastic tubes.
Recently I found two charm bracelets. I am thinking to use some of the “divorced” earrings to add to the bracelets. I also used earrings to make little necklaces for my girls when the where small. They liked them, but lost them, too, eventually:)
