Mirror with candle sticks-no markings

I purchased this out of a very old house. It really doesn't look as bright gold in person, it is REALLY beautiful. Any ideas on where and when this was made? Plaster or Gesso over wood I am thinking...there are cracks here and there, but it is all still attached to the wood backing. I have been researching and I haven't been able to find many frames with candlesticks attached so I think it is pretty unusual. Thanks for looking and any input.
