Here are some of the wedding rings and sets that I've collected over the years. I love the details in the old rings..... as with everything, they just don't make them like they used to.

    Thanks for looking! :)

Wow, I can't believe they look almost exactly like a few of mine. Especially pic 2 & 3. I just did a count and have around 45-50 sets (pairs) left out of the approx 70-80 that I had. I have sold quite a few in my eBay store. Most of them go for around $200-$375 for the matching pair. It's amazing just how many "soon to be wed" ladies out there (and the gents) seek out these older more ornate sets. It matters not to them that the main diamond in the engagement ring is not that big. Thinking back, I can't begin to stress just how close all of mine came to being added to the "melting pot" along with all of the other broken/damaged chains, bracelets and such. They were there on the table in a pile and actually had a small hand-full ready to drop them in. But one of the bands (almost identical to the band in pic 3 above) caught my eye. I then put on my trusty "optivisors" and looked at it under 20X and couldn't believe the detail in the artwork. Then I looked at a couple more and decided to put them aside. The rest is history, as after I dropped them all, a few at the time, in my jewelry cleaning apparatus, they were even more astounding after being cleaned. I unfortunately have none of the original old boxes that these sets probably originated in. They add a nice touch. Very nice pieces you have! I love them. :) Thank you for sharing.

Thanks! I love them too. I'm so glad you decided to save yours! With so many people melting them down these days there won't be many left for the next generation to enjoy.

You are so right. I have seen coin and gold dealer friends scrap so many nice pieces. I always buy what ever I can spring for but it would take thousands of $$$'s weekly to save them all from the melting pot just in my general area. Don't know if you know it, but I just posted a few more pics of a few other sets I salvaged. take care, Kerry
