    i found this lamp in the texas hill country years ago,but have never seen another like it.its about 14" x 14".any information would be appreciated.

      Lamps like these are found in places where ancient Moorish culture was established around the Mediterranean, e.g.: Syria, Morocco, Spain, etc. Everything that the Spanish adopted from the Moors they then brought with them wherever the Spanish empire reached, so the form of this lamp you found in Texas probably traces through Mexico to Spain and back to the Moors.

      If it's well made, it's likely to have been made in an individual craftsman's workshop.

      its not in the best of shape.some cracked panes and frame corrosion.i picked it up because it was unique.
