I have this vintage clothing wardrobe that has been in my family for over 50 years. It is extremely interesting because it has dozens of names and addresses written inside of it and some famous ones at that, Ed Norton, Jackie Gleason, John Neeson and Kirk Douglas. Anyone hazard to guess what it was? The only thing I can think of is that it was owned by a moving company from Hollywood or New York in the 1950's?? Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks,
Jeff
I had a good laugh with this, thanks for posting it.
Very nice Maybe in a hotel room and once someone signed others did too ? Love it!
I think you both got the idea!
Thanks Manikin, great thought! It was my grandparents and they gave it to my parents in the early 60's I believe. It always intrigued me growing up but I never asked my grandparents about it. Wish I had of. Thanks again for your input!
From a Dressing Room, or a Stage Prop. Not sure, but neat.
Where did your Grandparent live? Was there Shows there of some sort?
Thanks Antiquerose, My grandfather was a painter/wallpaperer for homes and businesses in Ontario, Canada, and we are from Southern Ontario. We have a somewhat famous Shakespearean Theatre not far from us..."The Stratford Festival"...your idea is interesting!
