The Very Rare Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Golf Balls from England.
When you find any player endorsed golf ball that is individually wrapped from the manufacturer you have a rare find. When you find full dozen in the original box you are lucky. But when you find a full box of Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear golf balls with factory wrapping and box in near mint condition you are a very lucky golf ball collector. I am a very lucky golf ball collector.
In the early 1980's, after having endorsed the company for many years, Jack Nicklaus was the majority owner of MacGregor Golf when these golf balls were made. The second photo shows a box of 1983, photo three is from the early 2000's sold here in the U.S.A.
The Golden Bear golf ball has had many faces over the years, Mr. Nicklaus has a current edition on the market now, but by far the wrapped gems from "across the pond" are the most impressive additions to my collection. I have a couple of boxes of the new Nicklaus golf balls for playing because for each box I buy a donation to children's hospitals is made.
