My friend at Salvation had put this aside me this the other day. We had a almost a foot of snow on Monday and it was not a day to be on the roads. By the time you would clean the cars and driveway we'd get hit again. So I stayed home that day. She knows what I look for so if I miss a day it's always waiting for me when I get there :) It's a very light and dainty little bracelet with a tiny chain guard on the clasp. No maker marks except for 20-12K G.F. The green stones are mounted with open backs and light does pass through them but I have no clue what they are. Could be little green jade cabachons. -Mike-
Thank you jewels :)
If you can see through them, maybe glass? It's a beautiful bracelet, mike! :)
Thanks Katherine :) If you look at the open back side in very bright light they have an opaque glow so they're not completely solid. That's why a was thinking a jade like stone.
......jasper or agate seems like a good candidate too
Purty!
How do you cope with that snow and cold? I have trouble if the night time temp drops below 10 degree (that's celsius)!
Thanks Karen :) As a kid it never bothered me much. Now it's a pain... shoveling, and hazardous driving . We're in an odd 20-30 year cycle of really extreme cold and snow in Ohio. It was a nice sunny 34 degrees yesterday but at night it's 5 with more snow. Rinse and repeat. Six more weeks of this and spring will be here March 20th. However we've had snow into April and even May ! Florida is looking better by the minute...lol.
Sunny 34 degrees LOL! Meanwhile let's ask DrFluffy how's the weather in sunny SoCal. :)
lovely Mike, any chance you could get the focus a little clearer. I love these bar brooches. My favourite brooch out of all of my brooches is my citrine with enamelled vines. But it's really hard to photograph unless you have some good light.
Thanks for sharing..
ps..I realise it's a bracelet, I meant to say it reminds me of my bard brooches which are my favourite...
I had forgotten about this one Anne...lol. It's packed away some where. I'll have to rummage around and see if I can find which box it's in. I'm sure I can get a better picture too. :)
OK.... found it Anne..here you go :) I put a microscope lens in front of the camera's which helped quite a bit. Added a pic of the mark as well. It's really shiny though and tends to reflect any light source. I never use flash because this phone cam doesn't have one.
