this item is marked from france it has a pearly blue/pink shinny finish. i think its porcelain my research on the mark has turned up nothing. does anyone know what type of pottery it is, where it was manufactured, how old it might be or anything about it. Knowlege or speculation would be appreciated. thanks L.

This pretty piece was made by Bernadaud & Co of Limoges, France. Lusterware refers to a glaze with a opalescent finish, and was made by many manufacturers all over the world. From what I’ve seen, the area of production, Limoges, appears to have been added to the mark in the 1920’s. The signature and date was added by the artist.
