Letter dated February 28, 1928 from film mogul Adolf Zukor to Jesse Lasky mentioning the filming of the movie "Abie's Irish Rose."
Anne Nichols (my cousin), playwright wrote the play "Abie's Irish Rose." When it was to be made into a film in 1928 she and her manager, William DeLignemare traveled to Hollywood to sign a film contract. The photo shows Anne and Jesse Lasky seated in his office. Standing behind them is William DeLignemare. The letter is from Adolf Zukor to Jesse Lasky and mentions "Abie's Irish Rose." The quality of a few of the pictures of the letter isn't the greatest because the letter is faded. I was fortunate to find and purchase the letter to add to my large Anne Nichols/ Abie's Irish Rose collection. In the movie Abie was played by Charles "Buddy" Rogers and Anne picked Nancy Carroll to play the part of Rosemary.
