Hello,
I need help identifying these critters. I purchased them from an antique dealer in Philadelphia in 1994. I was hoping they were composition at the time, but I was just starting out, and knew no better. I do love the detail, delicacy, and stylization within them.
They appear to be made out of clay, or bisque, glazed to a matte finish. Most are hollow: several have small holes in their bellies.
They are small: for instance:
grey billy goat: 50mmL x 50mmH
walking tiger: 70mmL x 30mmH
I will repost, with more detailed shots of the dog figure.
