And so now for something completely different: Trekkie teeshirts! Yes! Oh yes! I am one of those fangirls! I've gone to conventions! I've gotten pictures and autographs! I've bought toys, jewelry, plates, teeshirts! Most of it is carefully packed and put away, but the teeshirts I wear often and everywhere. They cause people to smile, to go green with envy, to offer money for the shirt off my back. I say Nay Nay! Never, say I! You have more chance of buying my first born child (she'd come back anyway). So here they are in all their worn glory. These two (back and front shots), and there are four more I will post separately. I hope you enjoy looking at them!
That's awesome Katherine... My daughter and I are big fans of Marvel's comics... We just attended our first Comic-con in San Diego last year... It was crazy.
Thanks for the love, nutsabotas6, and DrFluffy. :)
DrFluffy, you attended ComicCon? How in the world did you get tickets? I hope you enjoyed it! Post some of your swag, I'd love to see it!
Thanks for the love, aghcollect, and CindB. :)
Katherine... Yes, very lucky. Just happened that we knew someone who knew someone... :) Tickets for one day only. My daughter's best friend, bought her ticket from Craigslist, the day of... I guess there is a way to go around the system.
It was really really crazy.
Comic-Con is insane. In a good way. Did you see any movie stars? You can't be anywhere near the ConCen without tripping over a celebrity during Comic-Con.
I used to love attending the Star Trek conventions, but wouldn't go to one now. The Star Trek movies have gone too far out and off the track, IMHO. I enjoy the collectibles I have, and am satisfied with those. Star Trek fangirl forevah! :))

BEAM ME UP SCOTTY ???? !!! ;-)
Thanks for the love, surfdub66, and for sharing that famous phrase, only one of many to come out of that classic show. It's amazing to think of the impact Star Trek has had on our lives, in so many ways.
She won't take any more Captain!
But I will....
Thanks for the love, racer4four, and your quotation, I loved Scotty, and almost used that phrase in the title. :))
We did see some celebs, mainly from Marvels and TV shows... There are so much of that on tv right now. And yes, it was super super crazy... I was exhausted by around 4.
If you ever want to amuse yourself, google Comic-Con celebrities or Comic-Con star parties, you won't believe the people that are in town that week every year. Every major and minor star and celebrity and has-been, producers, directors, press, and hangers-on, you almost can't walk anywhere in the city without tripping over someone who used to be in your favorite TV show. And that's besides the celebrity roster that are officially at Comic-Con. It has become bigger than Oscar week in terms of festivities and sponsor galas, all of Hollywood and half of New York come in to San Diego to party. San Diego would be stupid not to expand the ConCen strictly based on Comic-Con alone, IMHO.
Agreed... They better hang on to this pot of gold...
Yeah, I'm sure the money is nice. But the prestige of hosting Comic-Con is more what they should be interested in; it's a world class event.
