I was wondering if anyone can help me Identify this makers mark. It is of a Snowflake with no other marks. This is a Beautiful bowl and was wondering who it was made by. I have tried to do research on the mark with no luck... Any information would be greatly appreciated... Thanks, Laurie
The "snowflake" is probably not intended as a maker's mark, but might help strengthen the bottom of the item. There are many different "marks" of this type used on RS Prussia items in the 1900-1905 time period. Also, I found at least half a dozen examples of early RS Prussia porcelain in the Marples' RS Prussia book "The Art Nouveau Years" that are decorated with the same transfer found on your plate. So, your plate is almost certainly RS Prussia from the 1900 - 1905 era.
Thank You for the Information that you supplied to me about this Bowl. I truly Appreciate it.
Suggest you reposition your pictures - more collectors here would at least look at it
rjkinkent...... I am a collector, and even though I listed it doesn't mean that I am not a collector of RS Prussia and also many other types of Glass..... and again,, thank You for your information..... All of the RS Prussia Pieces that I have and Keep do not have this mark on it... That is why I was asking..
And BTW rjkinkent,
I never once said that I was keeping this Bowl... I was asking because As I said in the original Post that I did research on it and could not find any info on this item..
txsnowbunny has made quite a splash with first posting, I'd say.
