    I picked this up at Goodwill today too. I think it's midcentury, but i don't really know. it is beautifully handpainted with a shiny gold background. i'd love to know what the mark says and anything else about this beautiful little ginger jar. thanks!

      1489. Dish, good quality shape and motif of Chrysanthemium. Mark: Kutani Bunpo. Probably a kiln, producer, exporter or importer name. Probably early to middle showa period, tentative date 1960s.
