My last beasty pin :-)
2" wing span, 1.1/8 from beak to tail tip.
80 rose cut diamonds, 2 tiny ruby eyes, silver open setting on gold backing.
Hole at the reverse to screw fittings!
I bought it for 1950 georgian revival, (!!!), gold was very blackened, it had a 14k brooch fitting custom made around 1920 (from the security clasp...).
Through hunting years I gathered several screw systems from antique versatile parures, and I had the perfect trembler hair pin for it!

Very nice. Your clever holding on to things that most people would throw away. From the photos the shallow has a wonderful blue hue to the diamonds. It would look fantastic in my hair, lol. It's a beauty.
Ha, always keep old jewelry bits and bobs, spare stones etc...
The blue hue is my phone camera fault, the diamonds are white!
Now my hair are short cut, no more able to wear my antique combs, I fixed the brooch mount which was loose!
