This clock was passed down through the family. Originally bought by Thomas Hazen of Shirley, Mass. where he was born on March 11, 1775.
From various web sites, it appears to be an Aaron Willard clock from 1815-20. My grandfather retouched or repainted the tablet glass, I was told, and maybe the neck glass too. It has run very well all of my life but stopped recently and I would appreciate any ideas about where to have it repaired. I live near Hartford, CT. About 41" tall by 10" wide. (Clock, not me.) The bird was my g'mother's and made her laugh when we'd put it in different places. After 25 years I barely notice it. So, clock repair in CT, MA or RI? Thanks.

Hi. Beauty! Thanks for sharing with us.

I went to the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors business listings and found some Clock Repair shops. Most are in Mass. One in RI. There were none listed in CT but I'm sure that word of mouth or online reviews might locate a few for you. You definitely want someone good handling your Willard.

      Good luck.

Thanks so much for the links; I'm glad to know such options are available, not knowing (before!) about antique clocks. I also re'd a ref. to Kirtland Crump in Madison, CT. If anyone has any experience with him, that would be helpful to know about. In web searching, just for anyone's info, I came across a fantastic looking American furniture and antique store in Providence that has beautiful things, incl. two banjo clocks, one almost identical to mine but with a great naval battle glass painting.
