My sister sent me these pics today. i think she found them in one of the homes her husband bought [they have around 40-50 houses throughout New England]. they're always finding cool stuff in them. I think that this is an advertising mirror for W. H. 'Bill' Disney's Drygoods Store in Terry, South Dakota. Bill Disney owned some ore mines in Idaho and South Dakota, as well as a bank and several Drygoods stores - around 1900. The Terry, SD store appears to be their first one and i think it began business sometime in the 1890s.
very beautiful!!!
thanks Sean68!
He must have been doing well to promote his business with such an elaborate & expensive piece!
Really great mirror/ frame. I have a similar example, but with heroes of the Spanish American War.
This is the first advertising version that I have seen.

I have a mirror in kind with Washington, Lincoln, Capitol, and Eagle. These are so great.
