The last of my Rose Bowl finds from this trip. The seller said it was from around 1880. Looks like it has been through a lot of history.
I have a yard stick on top to show the size. It is 28" long and 15" wide and 15 1/2 tall.
Sadly it is missing the latches and lock face but the lock mechanism is built into the trunk. The removable tray is also missing.
But it does have the storage compartment built into the top.
Wow fortapache, this is a really great trunk. I'd be willing to say it's older than 1880. The embossed leather still looks really great. I usually clean the leather and then apply several applications of mink oil and finish off with Leather Honey. This is beautiful!!
Thank you very much jscott. I'll look around and see if I can find mink oil and Leather Honey. With what do I clean it?
Thank you

I use glycerin saddle soap. Leather Honey also make a really good quality leather cleaner. Either will work well. Good luck my friend!!
I should have said that I use Stubben glycerin saddle soap. It works better than any saddle soap I've ever used. I'd love to see it after you clean it and condition it!
Thank you again jscott. I'll go down the hill and see if I can find some.
I didn't find them but found out where to find them.
Thank you
