Is it kinda like a *crackle glass* on top of the ceramic?
I can not tell well enough by the pic...See what I mean here:

yes antiqurose, it is.
Several companies do/have made this type of "fused crackle glass on ceramic" type of ware. I have a piece here that I am trying to ID as there are some worn marks.
Might be hard to pinpoint a true marker - but at least you/we can keep the knowledge at hand as we troll the net. Very Pretty.
One word of caution -- do not use these type of plates for serving food as food (or the liquid part of the food) CAN creep down into the cracks of the crackle glass and Bacteria CAN grow. If using, use for dry good, candies, buns or things like that.
Also Best to wipe dry also -- and not to set fully under water, or in water as water too can seep through the crackled glass.
I like this type of glass/ceramic things too.
thank you antiquerose. the crackles in this are more subtle than in your pics. it looks pretty safe to use for anything - very solid. no surface cracks whatsover. i have a couple different variations of the same design. just bought hangers to hang them all in my bathroom! need to hang something that can stand the humidity in there!
From very pink to Very green! Lol. Hi ho2, I'm always finding gorgeous plates unmarked. It's so frustrating. For something so nice you'd think the maker would want everyone to know they made it
thank you Vintagefran! it's a good thing that real enjoyment of a piece really has very little to do w/ who made it.
