    Everyone.
    Here i want to share with you something very special, i found this on the internet when i run, run, run for steel Bank on Ebay, at one point i have, 1 laptop and 2 desktop computer looking for criteria i enter on a programm for doing research for me, its work very well, for many years, i am be able, to compited with other collector from the USA, is this way a found my W.F.Burns Salesman display, my Company Letter, the add and so on.
    Few years ago, i am working as a landscaper(11Years)i am on the job, but alway's monitoring internet activitie's, i discover a seller from America Latine, have a W.F.Burns for sale, it's take less then that before many time, this pick curiosities, i contact the seller, ask many question, i finish this on EBAY at auction, I don't believe this possible that W.F.B have make business that far, but i have the proof, so this is it"LA CAJA POPULAR DE SAN JOSE" this Saving was in operation only from 1909 to 1934.
    Manufactured by W.F.Burns Company, Chicago & New-York.

    History
    San José de Mayo was founded on 1 July 1783. It had acquired "Villa" (town) status before the Independence of Uruguay, which was elevated to "Ciudad" (city) on 12 July 1856 by the Act of Ley Nº 495. During the 19th century it became a commercial and cultural centre, known as "Montevideo chico" ("little Montevideo"). The theatre "Teatro Macció" was constructed at the turn of the 20th century.

      Ohhh Alan, this is great! Incredible find and as you said so far!!
      Excelent information and story about the old bank called "Caja Popular de San José" established in 1909.
      San José is a lovely departement near the capital.
      You did a nice purchase, the box looks in very pretty vintage conditions and is very stronger as well.
