    Stein is very old grandfather said his parents had it in there house in since 1927. It just says Germany either g. Or 9. Or `6 not sure.

      The green side translates roughly to "Still the Flourishing Golden Age" - I can't read all the saying along the bottom. - I have seen that same twisted handle design attributed to Marzi & Remy who were one of the most famous beer stein manufacturers in Germany in late 1910's - early 1920's.
