Here is a song sheet for an early 20th Century tune. The theme is of farmer who has gone on to the city, and really misses home.
Irving Berlin wrote this tune, and I'm assuming from the cover, that Frank Mullane was the singer on this early recording.
I'm always fascinated by the graphics on these early works. To me, this one looks like Art Nouveau. Maybe the time frame is wrong, but the graphics do reflect the Art Nouveau Movement….

If you're interested, Florie Ford, an Australian singer, left her homeland as a young woman, and became a favorite in British Music Halls, around the time of this song sheet. Fortunately, some of her material exists as recordings….
