this is a piece that belonged to my grandmother. I always admired it's beauty. I have held on to the broken pieces. they broke off at the solder. Any suggestions as to where I can send it for repair? I live in the FL Keys and don't trust the jewelers down here.
The signature on the back is Eisenberg Original
Re: the jewelers - it depends on where in the Keys you live - there certainly are some very reputable jewelry stores in Key Largo and Key West that do repairs, especially easy repairs like you need which could be done quickly. The word mark "Eisenberg Original" was used from roughly 1935 to 1945.
I live in lower keys 27 miles from Key West. Would this pin be sterling? Would it be worth repairing.
It's a lovely pin.
If it was sterling, I believe they marked it as such. - In addition, I believe the stones are rhinestones. - There are several 5-star rated jewelers in your area - you can check Yelp for reviews. If business is slow, one of them may in fact repair it while-you-wait.
