Here is a clock my Great Grandfather gave to my Great Grandmother on one of their anniversary's. Not sure the year of the clock or who made it exactly. Does anyone have an Idea or what it may be worth? It was a
gift given to me by my grandmother that I will cherrish forever.
Hi,
The hands don't match and the dial has either been replaced or perhaps it is porcelain (which still isn't necessarily original...porcelain enamel dials on these types of black mantel clocks were not common). With the exception of the dial, it looks like it may be an Ingraham Co. black enameled wood case mantel clock manufactured for the Retailer Nelson H. Brown of Boston, Massachusetts. I would suspect that "Arabia" is the model name although I can't find it anywhere online or in my references. One would probably have to find it in one of Brown's catalogs to be sure and that would probably only confirm what you already know from the label. My guess is that it would be from circa 1900 give or take 10 years.
