Bulgaria M51 -72
A new steel helmet was introduced in 1951 based on the Italian M-33. The helmet is the same shape and features the same liner as the Italian shell, but the steel and liner are of a lesser quality.
A heavy Italian influence can be seen in the design of the shell and liner on the M51/72. There are variations to the shell, rivets, liner and chinstrap etc
the most noticeable difference appears to be a slightly flared brim and the cheaper stamped metal air vents, the leather liner also looks to be of lower quality than the Italian M33 that this helmet is copied from.
these helmets were also exported to many countries around the world.
