These are all AKM bayonets, the First one on the left is an East German Model 59 Type 1 bayonet with wire cutter scabbard with black Bakelite Grip and serrated blade for cutting & black rubber insulator to prevent electrical shock. The belt hanger is made of grey leather material.
The second one is a Romanian Model 59 Type 1 AKM bayonet that also has a wire cutter scabbard with brown rubber insulator, the bayonet also has a tan leather frog for carrying on a belt, bayonet has dark reddish brown bakelite grips and the blade has a serrated edge for cutting or sawing rope.
The third one is a rare North Korean Type 68 Bayonet for the AKM rifle with dark red bakelite grip handles and a hard chromed steel blade with steel scabbard with web hanger.
Much better than the built in spike bayonets.
fortapache, yes, these are much more useful than a spike bayo, a soldier can use a knife style bayonet as a tool for general use like a pocket knife or use it for self defense, more useful and practical
I wonder by what route the North Korean version made it out of country.
I heard many of the NK bayonets were exported to the Cubans and used in Grenada, they were common souvenirs brought back to the US by soldiers and some made their way to the US via foreign surplus.
