Well these were in perfect condition until I tried to carry them in along with the groceries! I could kick myself! I broke the inner bottom & it broke into too may pieces to attempt to glue it. I'm keeping on a shelf where you can't see the damage. Leave it to me to take something that survived all these years unscathed & destroy it within an hour of having it! Still, looks nice on the shelf though
Aargh....Feeling for you but as Phil said we have all been there.
They are pretty cool...I've seen this style and shape before but not with Pierre.
Ooooooh NOoooo! Sorry to hear that. This has happened to me and I have said the very same thing. "It lasted all these years, and then it is in my hands and I break it" I always think I am rescuing things and saving their history. THEN sometimes I think I should have left them on the shelf rather than get them near MY CLUMSY HANDS. If I had not touched them -- they would have been rescued from me.....LOL
So not to worry -- has happened to all of us. But the fact your keeping them still with their best sides now facing -- shows how dear you feel for them.
In truth, the love you STILL show to them by still displaying --- outweighs the damage. You are still rescuing them!!
Thanks, guys! Yes, I am a natural born klutz! I broke a glass bead off my necklace the same day! Luckily, however, I just had to remove the bead. These are very cool, it's a shame I have to keep them high up on the shelf
They are beautiful! Too bad about the damage, but we’ve all done it at one time! They look like egg cups, no?
Hi, Mary. They are not egg cups as they only have a 3/4" opening. I really don't know what they are
I SO LOVE THESE!!! STUNNING!!!
