    Evryone.
    I found this vase last monday at my local GW, this vase have a ruff surface, not smooth, nice serpentine all around the neck and decoration on each side, nice blue color, i learn about the Pontil, this one was unpolish(look pic 4)This vase stand 17.50 tall, on a 3.50 inch base, 4.25 at the larger point, 3.25 top opening.I need help for some detail who could be the maker, and is age, any input will be appreciated.

      I didn't rate it because I wasn't sure what to give. Looks like it was buried for about a century, which gives a good patina with the right minerals. What do you think?

      Very nice :).......Looks like a "scavo" type finish Alan. I have a bottle vase in the same technique. I would say mid-century or newer.

      Scavo Glass Technique
      "This glass imitates the effect caused by long periods spent underground. During manufacture, a mixture of several powders is dispersed on the surface of the object at a temperature of about 800'C. These add the special effect of opaqueness and colouring. To improve adhesion, the piece is heated again..." from F. Deboni's book, MURANO , page 372.
